Hôm nay, Quản trị viên Samantha Power đã gặp Bộ trưởng Bộ Kế hoạch và Đầu tư Việt Nam (MPI) Nguyễn Chí Dũng. Hai nhà lãnh đạo bày tỏ đánh giá cao lẫn nhau và tiếp tục ủng hộ Quan hệ đối tác chiến lược toàn diện Hoa Kỳ – Việt Nam cũng như nỗ lực thúc đẩy tiến độ thực hiện các cam kết chung, đặc biệt liên quan đến giáo dục đại học và phát triển nền kinh tế tiên tiến hơn ở Việt Nam. Quản trị viên Power tăng cường sự quan tâm rộng rãi hơn của Chính phủ Hoa Kỳ đối với ngành công nghiệp bán dẫn của Việt Nam và củng cố hệ sinh thái đổi mới của Việt Nam. Quản trị viên Power cũng nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của việc tôn trọng nhân quyền trong Quan hệ Đối tác Chiến lược Toàn diện và vai trò quan trọng của các tổ chức xã hội dân sự và phi chính phủ đối với sự phát triển của Việt Nam.
Bộ trưởng Bộ KH&ĐT Dũng đang có mặt tại Washington D.C. để dẫn đầu phái đoàn Việt Nam tham dự Đối thoại Kinh tế Hoa Kỳ-Việt Nam thường niên đầu tiên trong khuôn khổ Quan hệ Đối tác Chiến lược Toàn diện Hoa Kỳ-Việt Nam.

Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Vietnam’s Minister for Planning and Investment (MPI) Nguyễn Chí Dũng. The two leaders expressed mutual appreciation and continued support for the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and efforts to accelerate progress in meeting shared commitments, particularly related to higher education and developing a more advanced economy in Vietnam. Administrator Power reinforced wider U.S. government interest in Vietnam’s semiconductors industry and in strengthening Vietnam’s ecosystem for innovation. Administrator Power also emphasized the importance of respect for human rights in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and the vital role that non-governmental and civil society organizations will play in Vietnam’s development.
MPI Minister Dung is in Washington D.C. to lead the Vietnamese delegation to the first annual U.S.-Vietnam Economic Dialogue as part of the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
