PRESS RELEASE World Bank Debars SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH November 23, 2016WASHINGTON, November 23, 2016 — The World Bank Group announced the debarment of SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH for 15 months for fraudulent practices under the Vietnam Project Preparation Technical Assistance Facility Project and the Danang Priority Infrastructure Investment Project. The debarment is part of a Negotiated Resolution Agreement (NRA) following acknowledgment of the sanctionable misconduct, cooperation with the World Bank investigators and remedial steps taken by SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH holding those responsible for wrongdoing accountable. Under the NRA, SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH commits to further cooperating with the Integrity Vice Presidency and continuing to improve their internal compliance program in line with World Bank standards. The debarment of SFC Umwelttechnik GmbH qualifies for cross-debarment by other MDBs under the Agreement of Mutual Recognition of Debarments that was signed on April 9, 2010.
