Trong một bước quan trọng nhằm nâng cao chất lượng và khả năng tiếp cận dịch vụ chăm sóc sức khỏe, Vinh Duc General Hospital tại Việt Nam gần đây đã ký một biên bản ghi nhớ hợp tác quốc tế với International Medical Relief (IMR). International Medical Relief là một cơ quan tổ chức phi chính phủ có trụ sở tại Colorado ở Hoa Kỳ.
“Sự hợp tác này đánh dấu một cột mốc quan trọng trong việc thu hẹp khoảng cách về chăm sóc sức khỏe và cải thiện phúc lợi của các cộng đồng chưa được quan tâm và dễ bị tổn thương ở Quảng Nam,” Shauna King (Chủ tịch và người sáng lập IMR) nói. “Đây không chỉ là vấn đề chăm sóc sức khỏe mà còn là tạo ra một tương lai tươi sáng hơn cho Việt Nam.”

Sự hợp tác giữa Vinh Duc General Hospital và International Medical Relief sẽ giúp các cộng đồng chưa được chăm sóc đầy đủ ở tỉnh Quảng Nam dễ dàng tiếp cận dịch vụ chăm sóc sức khỏe và giáo dục sức khỏe hơn nhằm giảm bớt sự chênh lệch về sức khỏe.
International Medical Relief đã thực hiện các nhiệm vụ cứu trợ y tế tại Việt Nam dưới sự quản lý của Bộ Y tế từ năm 2016. Sự hợp tác này với Vinh Duc General Hospital sẽ cho phép các tình nguyện viên y tế của IMR phục vụ nhu cầu của bệnh nhân ở mức độ cao hơn và điều trị những trường hợp phức tạp hơn. Các ca phẫu thuật sẽ có thể được thực hiện tại bệnh viện bởi các nhóm phẫu thuật International Medical Relief.
“Sự hợp tác của chúng tôi thể hiện cam kết chung đối với sự thịnh vượng của cộng đồng và niềm tin rằng việc tiếp cận dịch vụ chăm sóc sức khỏe chất lượng là quyền cơ bản,” King nói. “Làm việc cùng nhau thì chúng ta có thể tạo ra một tương lai khỏe mạnh hơn cho tất cả mọi người.”
International Medical Relief đã cung cấp các dịch vụ chăm sóc sức khỏe cho những người dân có hoàn cảnh khó khăn và khó tiếp cận trên toàn thế giới kể từ năm 2002. Với sự hiện diện ở hơn 87 quốc gia thì tổ chức này tập hợp các chuyên gia y tế và phi y tế làm tình nguyện viên để cung cấp dịch vụ chăm sóc y tế và giáo dục sức khỏe thiết yếu cho những người có nhu cầu. Mục tiêu của International Medical Relief là giúp việc chăm sóc sức khỏe có thể tiếp cận được phù hợp với sứ mệnh phục vụ cộng đồng của Bệnh viện Đa khoa Vĩnh Đức.

The collaboration between Vinh Duc General Hospital and IMR will make healthcare and health education more accessible to underserved communities in the Quang Nam province to reduce health disparities.
IMR has been providing medical relief missions in Vietnam under the authority of the country’s ministry of health since 2016. This partnership with Vinh Duc General Hospital will allow IMR’s medical volunteers to serve a higher level of patient need and treat more complex cases. Surgeries will be able to be performed at the hospital by IMR surgical teams.
