Công ty hôm nay đã thông báo rằng Chủ tịch và Giám đốc điều hành của công ty Matt Murphy đã tham gia cuộc họp thương mại với Việt Nam. Cuộc thảo luận bàn tròn giữa Hoa Kỳ và các nhà lãnh đạo chính phủ và doanh nghiệp Việt Nam nhằm tăng cường hơn nữa quan hệ thương mại và kinh doanh giữa hai nước tại Hà Nội trong tuần này. Hội nghị Thượng đỉnh Đổi mới và Đầu tư Hoa Kỳ-Việt Nam do Ngoại trưởng Hoa Kỳ Antony Blinken và Bộ trưởng Kế hoạch và Đầu tư Việt Nam Nguyễn Chí Dũng chủ trì còn có Tổng thống Joseph Biden và Thủ tướng Việt Nam Phạm Minh Chính. Marvell là một trong số ít thành viên trong ngành bán dẫn được mời tham gia cuộc họp.
Trụ sở của Marvell tại Việt Nam đã phát triển thành trung tâm R&D chiến lược quan trọng của công ty kể từ khi thành lập cách đây 10 năm. Marvell cũng mở rộng các kế hoạch của mình nhằm tăng cường hơn nữa các hoạt động kỹ thuật và thiết kế chất bán dẫn trong nước lần đầu tiên được công bố vào tháng 5 năm 2023. Marvell cho biết trong chuyến thăm rằng họ cam kết tăng 50% lực lượng lao động Việt Nam trong ba năm tới và cũng đang trong quá trình mở rộng hoạt động tại nước này – với một cơ sở mới sẽ đi vào hoạt động vào cuối năm 2024. Marvell cũng cho biết họ đang tăng cường các chương trình thực tập và quan hệ đại học, đồng thời sẽ tăng gấp đôi tài trợ cho chương trình Học bổng Marvell Excellence để hỗ trợ sinh viên tài năng theo đuổi các bằng cấp về kỹ thuật và khoa học máy tính tại một số trường đại học chọn lọc ở Việt Nam.
Trong sự kiện hồi tháng 5, Tiến sĩ Lợi Nguyễn, Phó chủ tịch điều hành Tập đoàn Marvell’s Optical và người gốc TP.HCM, đã công khai kế hoạch của công ty về trung tâm thiết kế đẳng cấp thế giới tại TP.HCM. Marvell CEO Matt Murphy Joins President Joseph Biden and U.S. Business Delegation on Trade Meetings with Vietnam
SANTA CLARA, Calif.— September 11, 2023— Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRVL), a leader in data infrastructure semiconductor solutions, today announced that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Matt Murphy, participated in a roundtable discussion between U.S. and Vietnamese government and business leaders aimed at further strengthening trade and business ties between the two countries, in Hanoi this week. The U.S.-Vietnam Innovation and Investment Summit led by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Vietnam Minister for Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, also included President Joseph Biden and Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Marvell was one of a small number of semiconductor industry members invited to participate in the meeting.
From its inception 10 years ago, Marvell’s Vietnam location has grown to be a key strategic R&D center for the company. Marvell also expanded on its plans, first unveiled in May 2023, to further increase its semiconductor design and engineering activities in the country. Marvell said during the visit that it is committed to increasing its Vietnamese workforce by 50% over the next three years and is also in the process of expanding its physical footprint in the country – with a new facility to be operational by the end of 2024. Marvell additionally said it was increasing its internship and university relations programs and would double funding for the Marvell Excellence Scholarship program to support talented students pursuing degrees in engineering and computer science at selected universities in Vietnam.
During the event in May, Dr. Loi Nguyen, Executive Vice President of Marvell’s Optical Group and a native of Ho Chi Minh City, publicly unveiled the company’s plans for its world-class design center in Ho Chi Minh City.
