Hôm nay, Boeing [NYSE: BA] và Vietnam Airlines thông báo hãng đã chọn dòng 737 MAX để mở rộng đội bay một lối đi của mình với cam kết đặt hàng 50 chiếc 737-8 máy bay. 737 MAX sẽ mang đến sự linh hoạt tốt nhất cho thị trường hàng không đang phát triển của Việt Nam với việc nâng cao hiệu quả sử dụng nhiên liệu và thân thiện với môi trường. Cam kết này được công bố trong lễ ký kết với Tổng thống Joe Biden, Ngoại trưởng Antony Blinken, các quan chức Nhà Trắng và lãnh đạo chính phủ Việt Nam vào thứ Hai Ngày 11 tháng 9 năm 2023 .
Các quan chức Mỹ và Việt Nam cho biết cam kết này sẽ thúc đẩy việc làm ở cả hai nước và tăng cường quan hệ đối tác kinh tế song phương. Dựa trên lịch sử hợp tác lâu dài của Boeing với ngành hàng không dân dụng Việt Nam thì đội bay 737 MAX của hãng sẽ hỗ trợ mục tiêu trở thành trung tâm hàng không hàng đầu của đất nước.
“Phù hợp với chiến lược đội bay 2025-2030 của Vietnam Airlines và tầm nhìn đến năm 2035, đầu tư máy bay là dự án quan trọng tạo đà phục hồi tích cực và triển vọng thịnh vượng cho hãng”, Ông Đặng Ngọc Hòa (Chủ tịch Hội đồng quản trị Vietnam Airlines) nói. “Đội bay thân hẹp mới sẽ cho phép chúng tôi thúc đẩy sự phát triển tổng thể và mở rộng dịch vụ chất lượng cao trên các đường bay nội địa và châu Á của Vietnam Airlines, cũng như hiện đại hóa đội bay tiết kiệm nhiên liệu của chúng tôi.”

Kể từ khi ra mắt, hơn 100 khách hàng trên khắp thế giới đã đặt hàng chắc chắn hơn 5.600 máy bay 737 MAX. 737 MAX giảm 20% mức sử dụng nhiên liệu và lượng khí thải carbon, đồng thời tạo ra tiếng ồn nhỏ hơn so với các máy bay mà nó thay thế. Các máy bay phản lực mang đến sự thoải mái và thư giãn hơn cho hành khách, với các thành bên được chạm khắc hiện đại, hệ thống đèn LED giúp nâng cao cảm giác rộng rãi và các ngăn đựng đồ xoay trên cao lớn hơn.
Gia đình 737 MAX sẽ cho phép Vietnam Airlines bay tới 3.500 hải lý (6.480 km) để phục vụ các đường bay quốc tế và khu vực ngày càng phổ biến. Hãng hiện đang khai thác đội bay gồm 15 máy bay 787 Dreamliner và phục vụ hơn 50 điểm đến tại 17 quốc gia. Là thành viên của Liên minh SkyTeam, hành khách bay trên Vietnam Airlines hoặc bất kỳ đối tác nào trong số 18 đối tác của hãng có thể tích lũy và đổi dặm để đi tới 1.000 điểm đến trên toàn thế giới.

HANOI, Vietnam, Sept. 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Vietnam Airlines announced today the carrier has selected the 737 MAX family to expand its single-aisle fleet, with a commitment to order 50 737-8 airplanes. With enhanced fuel efficiency and environmental performance, the 737 MAX will provide best-in-class flexibility for Vietnam’s growing aviation market. The commitment was announced during a signing ceremony with President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House officials and Vietnamese government leaders on Monday, Sept. 11.
U.S. and Vietnam officials said the commitment will bolster jobs in both countries and strengthen the bilateral economic partnership. Building on Boeing’s long history of collaboration with Vietnam’s civil aviation industry, the carrier’s 737 MAX fleet will support the country’s goal of becoming a leading aviation hub.

Since the launch, more than 100 customers around the world have placed firm orders for more than 5,600 737 MAX airplanes. The 737 MAX reduces fuel use and carbon emissions by 20% and has a smaller noise footprint than airplanes it replaces. The jets offer increased comfort and relaxation for passengers, with modern sculpted sidewalls, LED lighting that enhances the sense of spaciousness and larger pivoting overhead storage bins.
The 737 MAX family will allow Vietnam Airlines to fly up to 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km) to serve increasingly popular international and regional routes. The carrier currently operates a fleet of 15 787 Dreamliner jets and serves over 50 destinations in 17 countries. A member of the SkyTeam Alliance, passengers flying on Vietnam Airlines or any of its 18 partners can earn and redeem miles for travel to 1,000 destinations worldwide.
