He will discuss President Barack Obama’s recent visit to Vietnam, the deepening of bilateral relations, and Vietnam’s role in the region. Ambassador Osius was sworn in as U.S. ambassador to Vietnam in December 2014. He served previously as associate professor at the National War College from 2013 to 2014, and as a senior State Department visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies from 2012 to 2013. A career diplomat, Ambassador Osius served as deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta,
